What is Wodify Wonders?

Wodify Wonders is a non-profit organization providing unique theater arts, literacy, music, and dance opportunities. Wodify Wonders is made up of three main programs - our Junior Theater Festival Trip, Wodify Gives Back Performing Arts Program, and our Full Production.

Join Wodify Wonders at the 2020 Junior Theater Festival

The Junior Theater Festival (JTF) is the BIGGEST & BEST celebration of young people performing musical theater!  Children will perform and be adjudicated by musical theater experts. They will also participate in voice, dance & acting workshops.  The weekend will be filled with New Works Showcases featuring new musical adaptations, and will end with a Grand Finale Concert by Broadway’s BEST!

Does every student get to participate if they audition?
Yes! Every student who auditions is welcome to participate and join us at The Junior Theater Festival!
Do parents have to come with child to JTF?
Yes! Every child registered for The Junior Theater Festival MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Some families have enjoyed the festival so much each year, the WHOLE FAMILY has attended!  All are welcome!
What does the price include?
The $100 down payment, due by the end of May, and the $175 monthly tuition, due the first of the month, June through January, covers ALL of your expenses at The Junior Theater Festival.  This includes rehearsals, registration, performance gear, airfare, hotel and meals.  It even covers daily happy hours for adults!
Will my child get to take classes during the festival?
Yes! Your child will take many classes during the festival. Workshops will be held in the areas of voice, dance, acting and artistry. In addition to the workshops, children may also have an opportunity to audition and perform with iTheatrics. More information on audition and performance opportunities to follow.
Will travel be included in the price?
Yes! Your airfare to and from Atlanta will be included in the price. The price also includes transportation from the airport in Atlanta to the hotel where we will be staying the weekend of the festival, as well as transportation from the hotel to the airport in Atlanta when we depart on Monday.
What will the children be performing at The JTF?
The children will be performing a 15 minute edit of Into the Woods Junior. Our challenge, as young performers, is to summarize that story within those 15 minutes, with a proper balance of music, dialogue and dance. This is NOT a “greatest hits” version of the production.
Are there awards at The Junior Theater Festival?
Yes! There are group AND individual awards at The Junior Theater Festival. In addition to the group and individual awards, students ALLSTARS are selected from each group to work with musical theater professionals and perform on the MAIN STAGE at the festival. There are also auditions for those interested in working with iTheatrics in NYC the following summer.  More information regarding auditions to follow.
Who is on the Wodify Wonders team of directors?
Miss Erica is directing, Miss Gabby will be vocal directing and Mr. Dante will be choreographing our 15 minute edit of Into The Woods JR for JTF20.
What Broadway professionals have attended the festival in the past, and who can we expect to meet this year?
Over the years we have met, performed for and learned from MANY Broadway professionals at The Junior Theater Festival. Some of the more recent guests have included: Alton Fitzgerald White (Disney’s The Lion King, Mufasa) Heidi Blickenstaff (Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Ursula & Something Rotten, Bea Bottom) Ashley Brown (Disney’s Mary Poppins, Mary Poppins & Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Belle) Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (Song Writers/Composers, Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land & The Greatest Showman)  Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen, Evan Hansen) and many, MANY MORE!  Who will be joining us this year?  Well, that’s a special SURPRISE which is usually announced a few weeks before the festival.
How many people attend The Junior Theater Festival?
There will be over 6,000 people in attendance at this year’s festival. The Junior Theater Festival is an INTERNATIONAL celebration, so children will meet other young performers from all over the world!

Wodify Gives Back Performing Arts Program

Our Free Wodify Wonders Gives Back  program combines readers theater,  theater games, skits, scene work, music and dance to help children discover a love of reading and performing arts. And they’ll cap things off with a big stage show for family and friends.  More Info to come soon...

Meet the team

Erica Sirdashney

Literacy Coach / Director / JTF Staff

Erica, an educator with 20 years experience, has found theater to be a dynamic tool that helps struggling students raise their reading levels to meet or exceed those of their peers.

As a director, she works closely with underserved and special needs children to build their confidence in reading. Her character development techniques combine movement, facial expression, and vocal exercises to allow her students to truly shine on stage.

Gabrielle Horvitz

Vocal Coach/ Music Director/ JTF Staff

Gabby has been  a theater educator in music for the last 10 years. She has specialized in opera, musical theater and pop. She works closely with kids and youth actors in telling the story through song to make a well rounded performer in music.

Dante Brattelli

Dance Coach / Choreographer / JTF Staff

Dante Brattelli is an east coast based performer and choreographer. He has worked at numerous theaters in the Philadelphia area including Walnut Street Theatre, Media Theatre, and Resident Theatre Company.
